DOOMER is a horror-comedy short film about the generational divide and how it turns family dynamics into a true nightmare.

The film is currently in pre-production, and we have begun a round of funding to support production.

About DOOMER

DOOMER was written by Adam Lowder as he was reflecting on some of the worst family dinners he’s ever had. Miscommunications, mounting frustrations, lots of shouting. Fertile grounds for disaster.

Thus, the story of DOOMER was born, taking all of the divisions we experience in our lives and amplifying them tenfold. It’s a story we hope everyone can appreciate, though we view it through the eyes of millenials Jess and Alex. We don’t see anyone as a “villain” in this intense exchange, just humans struggling to see the world through anyone’s eyes but their own.

DOOMER is scheduled to enter production on November 7th, 2026. We have already begun the casting and location scouting processes, so reach out to us if you are interested in helping out!

The film’s estimated production budget is between $10,000-$12,000. If you have even $5 to contribute towards that goal, you will have our eternal gratitude, and if you have 5 friends with $5, and they each have 5 friends with $5… Well, you get the idea. Any little bit helps lighten the load of making this film the right way and getting people paid for their time and their talent.
